Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: August 18, 2026

Toolz.live is free to use and always will be. Every tool on this site runs in your browser at no cost, with no account and no paywall. To pay for hosting and development, the site is funded in two transparent ways: advertising and, in some blog posts, affiliate links. This page explains exactly how that works, so you always know what you're reading.

1. Some blog posts contain affiliate links

A number of articles on the Toolz.live blog — particularly product reviews, comparisons and buying guides — contain affiliate links. If you click one of those links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the merchant at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had visited the merchant directly.

Where a post contains affiliate links, we display a clearly visible disclosure notice at the top of that article, before any recommendation appears. We do not hide affiliate relationships in the footer or in fine print.

2. How we decide what to recommend

A commission never buys a recommendation. Our editorial process is independent of our commercial relationships, and we follow these rules without exception:

  • We only recommend products we have used, tested, or thoroughly researched.
  • We publish the drawbacks of a product alongside its strengths — every review includes both.
  • Where we quote measurements or benchmarks, we describe the method used so you can judge it yourself.
  • We are never paid to publish a positive review, and merchants do not get to approve our content before publication.
  • If we later find that a product no longer deserves its recommendation, we update or remove the article.

3. Advertising

The site displays advertisements from third-party advertising networks. Those networks may use cookies or similar technologies to limit how often you see the same ad and to measure ad performance. We do not control the content of third-party ads and do not endorse the products advertised in them.

Importantly, the files you process with our tools are never shared with advertisers. Tools run entirely inside your browser, so your documents and images are never transmitted to us or to any third party. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

4. No sponsored tools

The tools themselves are not sponsored, ranked, or influenced by any commercial partner. No company can pay to have a tool featured, promoted on the home page, or recommended within another tool.

5. Editorial independence

Articles on Toolz.live are written by our editorial team and are intended to be genuinely useful whether or not you ever click an affiliate link or use one of our tools. Where an article explains a concept — file formats, compression, document security — the guidance is written to be accurate and vendor-neutral.

6. Not professional advice

Our articles are general information, not legal, financial, tax or medical advice. For decisions with legal or financial consequences, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

7. Questions

If anything about our funding, affiliate relationships or editorial policy is unclear, email us at toolz@opustech.net or use the contact form. We answer every message.

We use minimal cookies for site preferences, aggregated analytics and advertising. Your files are always processed in your browser and never uploaded. Privacy Policy
