Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information Toolz.live ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our website at toolz.live, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

1. The short version

• Your files never leave your device. All tools run inside your browser using JavaScript. We don't upload, view, store or transmit the files, text or images you process.
• No account required. You can use every tool anonymously.
• We don't sell your data. Ever. There's no data to sell.
• We use minimal cookies — only what's needed for the site to work, plus optional analytics and an ad partner (see below).

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

The only personal information we receive directly is what you send us through the contact form or by emailing info@opustech.net: your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use it only to reply to you.

2.2 Information stored locally on your device

Your favorite tools, theme preference, and notepad content (if you use the Notepad tool) are saved in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it any time through your browser settings.

2.3 Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers receive standard request information (IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited) in access logs. We use this only for debugging, security, and aggregated traffic analytics. We don't combine this data with personal identifiers.

3. How we use information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the website.
• To respond to your messages and support requests.
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues, spam and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies:

• Strictly necessary — for example, remembering your theme choice.
• Analytics — to understand which tools are popular, in aggregate, so we can improve them.
• Advertising — our ad partner may set cookies to limit how often you see the same ad and to measure ad performance.

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. The site will continue to work normally.

5. Third-party services

We rely on a few trusted third parties to keep the site running:

• Hosting & infrastructure — for serving the website.
• Google Fonts — to load typography.
• Advertising — banner ads served by Adsterra-style networks. They may collect non-personally-identifiable data to serve relevant ads. Files you process in our tools are never shared with them.

5a. Advertising and affiliate links

Toolz.live is funded by advertising and, in some blog posts, by affiliate links. Some articles — particularly product reviews, comparisons and buying guides — contain affiliate links, and if you purchase through one we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Those articles display a visible disclosure notice at the top.

When you follow an affiliate link, the destination merchant may set its own cookies and will process your data under its privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive your name, payment details, or order contents from merchants — at most we receive aggregated, non-identifying reports of how many referrals resulted in a purchase.

Similarly, third-party ad networks may set cookies to cap ad frequency and measure performance. In no case are the files, text or images you process with our tools shared with any advertiser, affiliate merchant or analytics provider — those never leave your device. 6. Data retention

Contact form messages are stored in our email inbox for as long as they're useful (typically up to 2 years) and then deleted. Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, CCPA or other laws to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data;
• Object to or restrict processing;
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@opustech.net with the subject "Privacy request" and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Children's privacy

Toolz.live is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Security

Because tools run locally in your browser, the most sensitive data (your files) never reaches us — there's nothing for an attacker to steal from our servers. For the data we do receive (contact emails), we use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page.
